Divorce Clarity at Work
Last updated October 28, 2026
The short version. Start Where You Are is educational material. It is not legal advice, benefits advice or employment advice, and we are not your lawyers. Your employer never sees your name or anything you do or write in the course. Section 1 is the most important part of these Terms.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") cover divorceclarityatwork.com, its registration and checkout pages, the course portal, and the course and working file called Start Where You Are (together, the "Program"). The Program is offered by ValuED Sales LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("the Company," "we," "us").
These Terms apply whether you register or buy personally, including through an employee perks or discount platform, or receive access because your employer licensed the Program. By registering, buying, or using the Program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Program.
If your employer licensed the Program, your employer's written agreement with the Company governs the relationship between the Company and your employer. These Terms govern your own use.
Every part of the Program, including lessons, videos, worksheets, question sets, checklists and the working file, is general educational information. It is not legal advice and not a legal service. It helps you get organized and prepared so you can make better use of qualified professionals and the benefits you already have. It does not replace advice from a professional who knows your situation.
The author and the Company are not attorneys and do not practice law. Registering, buying, using the Program, or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing you send us is protected by attorney-client privilege, so please do not send us details of your matter.
Everyone receives the same Program. We do not tailor it to your case, review your documents or drafts, tell you what any record shows or what anyone is owed, or advise you on what to do, file, sign or say. The Program contains no state-specific filings, forms, deadlines, thresholds or procedures. Family law differs from state to state and changes over time. Take what the Program helps you organize to an attorney licensed where you live.
The Program helps you prepare questions for your own legal plan, employee assistance program and HR team. It does not state what any plan covers or what any employer's policy allows. Your plan documents, your plan administrator and your HR team are the authority on your benefits, leave, accommodations and workplace policies.
If your employer provides the Program, your employer is offering an educational resource. Your employer is not giving you legal advice or legal services, and it does not see how you use the Program (see the Privacy Policy).
Some situations call for an attorney or other professional right away. These include domestic violence, an active or possible protective order, child protective services involvement, allegations of abuse, a mental health crisis, substance abuse affecting parenting, a risk of a child being taken out of the country, or concerns about hidden assets. The Program can help you prepare, but it is never a reason to delay getting help. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788.
We make no promise about the outcome of any legal, benefits or workplace matter. Results depend on facts, law and people outside our knowledge or control.
If you buy Start Where You Are yourself, including at a member price you reached through an employee perks or discount platform, you are buying it from the Company. The platform and your employer are not the seller, and they are not told what you bought or how you use it. The platform's own terms govern your use of the platform itself. Member pricing cannot be combined with other discount codes.
If your employer licensed the Program, you can use it at no charge while that license is in effect. If the license ends, online access may end with it. Files you have already downloaded, and anything you wrote in your own working file, stay yours.
Access is for you alone. Please do not share your login.
The Program and everything in it, including text, questions, structure, worksheets, graphics and video, is the original work of the author and the property of the Company, protected by United States and international copyright law.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Program for your own family matter. That includes printing your working file and sharing it, and your completed worksheets, with your own attorney, your legal plan, your EAP and other professionals helping you.
You may not sell, share, post or redistribute the Program or any part of it; republish or repackage it in another course, post, book, video or product; download, record or redistribute course videos; remove copyright notices, license language or disclaimers; or use any part of it to train an artificial intelligence or machine learning system.
To report suspected infringement, or for licensing and permission requests, email [email protected].
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices may change at any time, and we do not adjust past purchases for later price changes or promotions. Your card statement currently shows "VALUED SALES MDBWY."
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
How we collect and use your information, and what your employer does and does not receive, is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. By registering or buying, you agree to receive emails about your registration, purchase and course access. You can unsubscribe from anything else at any time.
Use the Program only for lawful, personal purposes consistent with these Terms. Do not try to gain unauthorized access to it, interfere with how it works, or use it to infringe anyone's rights. We may limit or end access, or decline a sale, if these Terms are broken.
If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you. We will quote you only with your separate written permission, and only as you allow.
The Program runs on third-party services, including FG Funnels (built on HighLevel), which hosts our pages, forms, email and course portal, and Stripe, which processes payments. Perks platforms that list the Program are also third parties. We are not responsible for their availability or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PROGRAM IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, OR THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. AS STATED IN SECTION 1, THE PROGRAM IS EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION AND NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, RELIANCE OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THE PROGRAM OR THESE TERMS. THE COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PROGRAM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its members, managers, employees and agents from claims, damages and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or anyone's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
We may update these Terms by posting a new version here, effective from the date shown above. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and the Company about your use of the Program.
